Bellson Electric - Powerite BCT-1 Programmable Digital Countdown Timer

To complement our range of JSGUS Mechanical clockwork timers we have developed the BCT-1 Electronic Digital Countdown Timer.

This unique New Product can be used in many applications where the Mechanical timers is not suitable such as when the timer needs to be Weather Proof, is subject to Vibration or where high accuracy timing is required.

The NEW BCT-1 has an IP65 rating and can give accurate countdown delays from (1) one minute to (24) hours all in the one model.

With the JSGUS adaptor plate (32-BCT1IAP) the BCT-1 can enable you to replace or upgrade the KS55/KS65 Mechanical Timer in any existing installations.

Other features such as the unique countdown Time Lock, 3,000 hour battery reserve, large range of control voltages, 16A contact rating and all at a very competitive price make the simple to programme BCT-1 a product that could fill a need for you or one of your customers.

Programming Instructions

Button Functions

* "Up"

To programme an increase in the countdown time setting, or display the programmed setting during countdown.

* "Down"

To programme an decrease in the countdown time setting, or display the programmed setting during countdown.

* "Start"

* "Stop"

* "Reset"

To set the Countdown Time

Programme the desired countdown time using the

and

buttons.

NOTE:

The setting can be taken to zero by pressing the

and

buttons simultaneously. When programming by holding the

buttons down the time will advance quickly. A "D" will flash at the left side of the display when the timer is counting down.

To Lock the Countdown Time

The programmed countdown time can be "locked in" so it can not be altered for security by pushing down

for 3 seconds, then push the

button.

NOTE:

symbol will appear in the bottom right corner of the display and the

buttons are disabled, so the programmed countdown time can not be adjusted.

To Unlock the Countdown Time

The "locked in" countdown time can be released by pushing down

for 3 seconds, then push the

button.

NOTE:

The

symbol will disappear from the bottom right corner of the display and the

buttons can again be used to programme the countdown time.

To Start the Countdown Time

The countdown timing is Started by pushing the

button, this will energise the output relay and the "out" Red LED will glow. (Power must be connected to energise the outputs). A "D" will flash on the left side of the display when the timer is counting down. When the countdown time has elapsed the output relay and "out" red LED will turn off. The display will flash at zero, push

once to reset to the set countdown time.

NOTE:

To "Stop" or "Pause" the timing after the countdown has started push the

button. During Countdown the programmed time can be displayed by pushing the

buttons.

To Stop the Countdown Time

The countdown timing is Stopped by pushing the

button.

To Reset the Timer to the Set Countdown Time

To Reset the Countdown timer to the set value when the countdown is in progress, push

to stop countdown then press

again for 3 seconds to reset the countdown time to the set value. At the end of the countdown time the display will flash at zero, push the

button once to reset the countdown time to the set value.

To Completely Reset the Timer

To completely reset the timer if the unit malfunctions push

and

at the same time and the countdown timer will reset to the initial display time. The countdown timer can now be set to the required countdown time.

Additional Programming Instructions

To select a Countdown Time Mode

Hold the

ODEL button down for (3) three seconds, the display will flash the H, M or S, then push the

ODEL button within (3) three seconds until the required display time appears, after (3) three seconds the selected display time will stop flashing the H, M or S. The range is then set and now the required countdown time can be selected.

* "Mode" the countdown timer has (10) ten standard countdown time ranges that can be selected by pressing the mode button under ODEL BCT-1.
